St John's Parish Communion Services

St John's has a variety of Parish Communion Services.

Our main Sunday Services are at 8:00 am and 9:30 am. The 8:00 o'clock is a said service from the New Zealand Prayer Book - He Karakia Mihinare o Aotearoa. It has traditional hymn music.

The 9:30 am is a family - all ages services using The New Zealand Prayer Book and using a mixture of modern and traditional church music.
The service frequently is accompanied by the St. John's Music Group and is followed by a cup of tea/coffee and biscuits. A great time to catch up with friends and celebrate our parish life.

St John's Parish Communion Services

Once a month we celebrate communion with an informal liturgy and with contemporary music which starts at 7:23 pm on the third Sunday of each month. Designed for those who like the informal relaxed approach to worship.

Each Wednesday we have a 10:00 am Holy Communion using the New Zealand Prayer Book on the first three Wednesday's and using the traditional Book of Common Prayer on the fourth Wednesday
